who knew?
so, especially for my entertainment-oriented PFS, we have a confluence of political stuff and entertainment industry commentary.
in walks our Kung Fu Monkey.
got to love the snark.
what the hell Big Momma's House 2 opening at $28 million dollars 'means'?
i am aimimg for the comedy angle here.
like amusement while,
we are shooting down this heavier-handed politicizing of film crit with snark bombs.
i hope.
anyway Ku Fu Monkey made me laugh.
Just. Stay. Down.
well, i think it's funny.
maybe PFS will think it is too.
i like this word: "Cthulhoid"
ReplyDeletewhen i googled 'cthulhoid' it sounds like it's sci-fi/fantasy/demonology stuff.
pure weird.
and pretty funny too.
can we be avatars of demon god(dess)s and not know it?
Gangs of New York only made $78 million? What a shame. But it's still on the Netflix top 100 list.
ReplyDeleteHere's a confluence of politics-n-entertainment topic for you. The Chinese govt banned both Brokeback Mountain and Memoirs of a Geisha. Doesn't that suck? And the end result of the censorship is that people who want to see them will buy pirated DVD copies.
ReplyDeleteit does suck.
ReplyDeletebut i am morally opposed to the Chinese government anyway.
and the Saudis.
what have the Saudis banned, lately, we wonder?
just the chinese pirating of copyrighted works is a billion dollar plus hit on american copyright holders: music; software; film and video.
how big of a loss does that represent for "Gangs of New York"?
